DAY 3: 03/26/08

Day 3 started with breakfast as usual. One of the resort restaurants had buffet breakfast every morning. Those of you who don’t know, they cook everything using an enormous amount of oil. Can be a little rough on the stomach after a night of drinking, but still very tasty. Deanna had talked my dad into doing Yoga with her. The resort had Yoga on the beach every day at 10am. I was able to get a picture for those who do not believe. He did yoga a few days with her.

Back on the beach today. I went and rented a boogie board so i could ride the waves. It was fun. I managed to catch a few waves and HANG 10!! or whatever it is they say. Deanna stayed on the beach and did some reading. She got some action shots of me though. The resort also had a sailboat, which i know my dad loved. Him and Nancy took it out for a little while. She didn’t come back too terrified so i am guessing it was a good ride. After Dad was done sailing he tried the boogie board a little. Got a little ride on a wave there. It was a lot of work.

Every day the resort had cooking on the beach. They called it a cooking lesson. I didn’t learn anything, i just ate the food. I loved eating there on the beach and not have to go anywhere. Deanna was also happy because they would walk around on the beach and offer mini pizza’s to people. They would also bring us drinks on the beach. Each day the 1st drink was usually “The Drink of the Day” which was designated by the resort. After that it was back to beer and mudslides. MMMMM good!! We would usually leave the beach between 4 and 5. wanted to get ready for the 6 o’clock cocktail hour and then dinner.

We did the dinner on the beach with my parents, Anita and Nancy. We didn’t alway eat together. It was sort of a go where you want sort of thing, which was nice. I pretty much samples everything they had to offer at the beach dinner. Lots of different meats. Even Deanna had a lot of meat. Very surprised. This was where we hassled mom about her lack of enthusiasm in recent pictures we have seen. So we made her smile for a few. After diner was back to showtime. I think it was Dominican Republic theme. don’t remember. bed shortly after.
